Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9, 1976, at Beaumont Puy of Domme. Her parents who was both dentists as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's passion for theater and drama at an early stage. This support was enough to thwart her initial goal of becoming a primatologist. Her fame grew as a child actor quickly and enjoyed enormous achievement. After her graduation in 1998, she was a participant in the French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning her acting career in earnest. Although she studied at in the Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou has distanced herself from her religious upbringing and has stated that she is not officially Catholic. Alongside her acting career, Tautou took up modeling and was the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited an array of photos under the name Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities in addition to popularity. It also features an assortment of self-portraits as well as a focus on journalists that have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic success after Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her debut role in the role of The Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Pouulain. She then moved to Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
