Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor, who gained notoriety as the character Buffy Summers. Her other characters include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC show of similar name, Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. Born in California, Swanson became interested in acting as a young child. Her career began in the advertising industryappearing in a variety of commercials. Her first appearance on TV was in the NBCs It's Your Move sitcom in 1984. In 1986, she made her debut on a romantic comedy called Pretty in Pink. Swan gained notoriety for her blonde lisp and her breathless voice. She's recently shifted from main roles to side ones.
